How Even A Small Business Can Profit From Having A Website
You don't need to be a big multi-national enterprise to profit from having a website. A company website can be beneficial to any business, no matter how small. Even a business that doesn't sell online can find that an internet presence can boost their business.
Let's take the hypothetical example of a small picket fence manufacturer who does business within a limited range. Our business owner, Stan, manufactures picket fences in a small factory and delivers and installs them only in suburbs that lie within a fifty mile radius of his factory. Stan was on the road almost every day chasing leads and was becoming increasingly frustrated because only about a quarter of his leads turned into sales.
One of his employees liked to make websites in his spare time and suggested he make a small website that featured a photograph album, some pictures of the manufacturing process and of the factory premises. There was nothing sophisticated about the site - it was like an online scrapbook album, but it worked brilliantly.
When people called Stan to inquire about his fences, he encouraged them to look at his website first and if they liked what they saw, he went out to their homes and spoke to them in person. As a result, Stan got a far higher percentage of sales from his initial home visits. He didn't make more sales, but he was able to use his time more efficiently and profited from that.
Stan was so impressed with the website that he asked his employee if he had any ideas to make it even better. The employee suggested doing link exchanges with other local businesses.
Stan made a few phone calls and it didn't take long before a nearby home decor accents business nearby happily agreed to do a link exchange. To Stan's surprise, within a short time he was getting quite a few more leads. Over the course of a few months, he saw his profits increase by ten percent, thanks to an inexpensive website and a single link exchange.
As is that wasn't enough, Stan's business soared as a result of a link exchange he did with a local property developer who was just starting an online campaign for a new property launch. Everyone who was interested in buying one of the more than a hundred homes in the development saw Stan's link. All of those who wanted a picket fence around their new home called Stan's Picket Fences first.
Thanks to an internet savvy employee and a small website, Stan's business has doubled in size. That's the power of the internet, even for the smallest business!

Okay, first of all, I want to spend as little as possible on this, so, I cant really buy a fancy scrapbook. I thought maybe of doing it on lots of card, then threading it all together at the side with string. I love the movie My sisters keeper and want to do a scrapbook, like Kates. I've got loads of pictures on my computor, and loads of ideas, but I'm not sure how to print them all off. Ink is soooo expensive, and I want like loads of pictures, and colourful themes. Any ideas for themes or whatever are apreciated. Here is a video of Kates scrapbook, from youtube:

You could send your pictures to a photo center (like at walmart or kinko's) and have them printed (it's a lot cheaper than printing yourself if you're going to use tons of photos). Then you could glue them to cardstock and cut them out in the shapes you want. Scrapbooking can get super expensive, so you might want to look around for sales or at specialized stores like Michael's. I like the look of Kate's scrapbook. It's very simple and straightforward and you're able to focus on the pictures more. The important thing it to just have fun with it. Hope I helped!
