Making Use Of Song Lines For Scrapbooking Journaling   by Kathleen Moore

If you are a scrapbooker who loves music, then you've already got an edge in your scrapbooking journaling. Rather than thinking what you should use for your journaling, you could always make use of your favorite songs and pick out a special line or two that will fit your scrapbook theme just right. But have no fear, because even though you are not a musically-inclined scrapbooker, this post could still enable you to put a whole new style in your hobby.

You might not be aware that songs can really help your scrapbooking journaling in a lot of ways than you would expect. Aside from entertaining people and basically making lives happier and easier, music also provides a medium for people to express their thoughts, emotions, and dreams. Come to think of it; that sounds a lot like the purpose of journaling is about, right?

Songs can be found all around us, which is created for a variety of reasons. It could be created to captivate and celebrate a particular individual or event, but it can also be used to commemorate and venerate the memories of less-happier times. Whatever purpose we make it for, the final thought is that music holds a special place in our lives. Everyone knows just how businesses and governments put it to use to influence people and their decision-making, right? If you don't agree, just listen closely to a catchy jingle from a TV commercial and you'll find out what I am talking about.

Now how will you apply music in your scrapbooking? The best and most typical way is to use music lines. Many scrapbookers have already been using film titles, poems, well-known quotes and sayings to find ideas and inspiration for their journaling. So it's not definitely a far-fetched thought to discover music lyrics in use, as well. After all, some of the most emotional and honest lines are found in songs, so why not use this wealthy resource?

There are hundreds of songs and numerous lyrics readily available to the scrapbooker looking for motivation and smart ideas. In case basic words may not be enough or could not convey the actual message that you want, using one or two lines from a song might do the trick instead. There are songs for every type of emotions, from joy to grief, and everything in between. What's more, you can even use music lyrics for your scrapbook title, too. If you want a bit of advice, why don't you create a scrapbook page using a photo of you and a loved one outside in the rain. Then you can work with a title like "Laughter in the Rain" or "Singin' in the Rain". See just how simple that was?

Now that you've gotten yourself a fantastic title, now you can begin applying your normal styles and techniques in making your scrapbook layout. You could embellish the borders of the pictures you will include with a few stickers that would complement the whole theme of your scrapbook. The music lyrics you'll add would need to be relevant to your theme, naturally. Another little tip here: when one of your pages delivers emphasis to an extraordinary friendship you have with someone, then you can name the scrapbook page with 'You've Got A Friend'. I realize it's clich? and a lttle bit corny, still there are times corny is effective!

One more thing to keep in mind if you use songs in your scrapbooking: you need to remember that you won't need to control yourself to using only a couple of lines from the song. If you want, you can print out the complete song and paste it in the scrapbook page. The possibilities are never-ending, especially if you look at the idea that there are thousands of songs around which cover the whole spectrum of human feelings and which you can use for your very own work.
