Using Kid's Sports To Encourage Teamwork
Kids are often talented naturally whenever it comes to sports. Playing a sport is fun, great exercise and can help a kid build teamwork skills. There are a number of kids who have specific solo sports that they enjoy, like tennis or even skiing. Even so, there is also a lot to be said for engaging in at least one team sport, such as baseball, soccer, or perhaps basketball. Just a few of the things a child learns when participating in sports on a team are the way to work well with other children, how important it is to cooperate, and the best way to be a contributing part of a big team. If you start a child playing sports when they are still pretty young, then they are much less likely to feel awkward when they join a sport later on in their life. When kids are little there isn't as much pressure on them so this makes it a good time for them to learn a new sport. Since all the young team members will undoubtedly be learning how to play the game at the same time, it can be a lot more fun.
Participating in Sports as a Family Activity
Once your kid starts playing on a sports team, it is important to show your support for his or her efforts. Though it is certainly not necessary to attend every game or practice session, you should make every attempt to go to as many as possible. Make a family activity out of going to the games if possible, since that will help your young sports team player develop a sense of pride in his or her abilities. It is also a good idea to take lots of photos at the game. You might even devote a shelf or wall in your home to sports photos, displaying some of the very best shots of your child in silver 5x7 picture frames. Be sure to include a wide variety of photos such as individual pictures, group team shots, and maybe even some candid shots of the other members in the family cheering for your child.
Keeping Family Memories
You are sure to accumulate sports pictures quite rapidly, especially if you have more than one kid participating in team sports or if perhaps your one child participates in multiple sports. Sometimes you might even get some photos taken by experts since teams in a little league often have picture packages made of all the teammates. As well as displaying photos in collage photo frames, you may also want to start a photo scrapbook. Some wonderful things to include in a scrapbook might be newspaper articles about your child's team, team rosters, ticket stubs from their games, play books, or even any other souvenirs you might have. Not only are these picture memories something that you will always treasure, but someday when your child grows up, they will undoubtedly be happy that you encouraged them in their sports efforts, and made the time to keep plenty of their childhood experiences.
Both you and your child will be happy when you put these ideas into action and help your kid to do well and enjoy their sports.

Depending on your family, you could do a history style of "then and now" soccer. I know when my little is old enough to play I plan to do this. My hubby played soccer in South America so I have tons of his soccer playing days along with his grandfather and greatgrandfather so I just plan to make the scrapbook pages with one side of then and the other side of now:
1. team photo
2. uniforms and balls - showing how different equipment changed by generations.
3. staduim photos/field photos
4. action shots: hightlight photos of similar passes or runs to goal or if my son's footwork matches any of his grandfathers or daddy.
